Mike Buchheit

Mike Buchheit is a writer, landscape photographer, lecturer, and outdoor educator. A native of Iowa and longtime director of the Grand Canyon Field Institute, Mike has spent nearly twenty years exploring and teaching in the park he calls home. He is an avid hiker, backpacker, and river runner who has covered more than a thousand miles in the Grand Canyon Backcountry.
