Mihail Chemiakin
Mihail Chemiakin grew up in occupied East Germany, returned to Russia in 1957, and now lives in New York's Hudson Valley. Chemiakin's first production of The Nutcracker in 2001 was premiered at the Mariinsky Theatre, and played in Moscow, Paris, Washington, D.C., and Baden-Baden. His works are held in numerous museums in the US, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
