Dr. Takagi received his BSc, MD, and PhD from the Yamagata University. His research carrier started in 1986, focused on cellular function of macrophages in relation to bone resorption and foreign body reaction, as well as rheumatoid arthritis and allied diseases. Has experience with joint reconstructive surgeries for 30 years, carrier of basic research and supervising Ph.D. students and leadership of teams consisting of surgeons, clinicians, pathologists, molecular biologists, bioengineers, biostatisticians and other related professionals for the translational research, both locally and internationally.
