Michael Kemper
Michael Kemper is Professor of East European History at the University of Amsterdam. Trained in Arabic, Islamic and Slavic Studies at Ruhr-University Bochum, he focuses on Islam in the Volga-Ural and North Caucasus regions, on the history of Soviet Oriental Studies and on the interaction between the languages of Islam and Eastern Orthodoxy.
