Michael Gilbert
Born in 1912, Michael Gilbert took a law degree at London University and after serving in North Africa and Italy during the second World War he completed his training a as solicitor, entering the Lincoln's Inn firm in which he eventually became a partner. He was a founder member of the Crime Writers' Association and has had over thirty crime novels and collections of short stories published.
