Michael Gfoeller has been traveling the world since 1979. He first visited Armenia in 1998, and developed a deep love for its ancient culture and civilization. He subsequently launched a private foundation, the Gfoeller Renaissance Foundation, to support archeological excavations and research in Armenia.
