He obtained an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering and a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Michigan. He is professor emeritus of Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University. David C. Wiggert, Ph.D ., is Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering at Michigan State University.
