Melody DeVries

Melody Devries is a Doctoral Graduate Communication & Culture department at Ryerson University, and completed her MA in cultural anthropology at the University of Toronto. She uses theories of publics, material affordances, and belonging to examine how the emergence of new far-right and anti-feminist online communities activates politicized violence. Melody has been tracing far-right and anti-feminist movements online through interdisciplinary frameworks since 2014.
