Maryse Fauvel is professor emerita in French and Francophone studies at the College of William and Mary, where she served as chair of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures from 2013-2017. She has taught advanced writing courses as well as 20th-century French literature, women writers, French cinema, European cinema, literary theory, secrets and revelations, and ecocriticism. Her research areas include literature and the visual arts, cinema, contemporary women writers and filmmakers, postmodernism and postcolonial cultures.
