Martha Rose Woodward is a retired school teacher who developed her interests in writing, journalism, and television and radio production after she left the field of education after 24 years in the classroom due to a serious health issue. Martha Rose Woodward is a retired school teacher who developed her interests in writing, journalism, and television and radio production after she left the field of education after 24 years in the classroom due to a serious health issue. She began writing in 2007 and has published more than 1,100 articles for the Knoxville Journal Newspaper since that time. She lives in an historic Victorian home in Knoxville, Tennessee and spends her free time with her three grown children, Barrett, Erin and Ashley Rose. She also enjoys the family's 5 dogs, 8 ducks and 2 chickens. Woodward is an avid quilt maker, videographer, gardener and seamstress.
