For the past 20 years, she has instructed the public education module, which she authored, for the state of Illinois' Fire Prevention I class, teaching both fire fighters and civilians. Giesler has worked with the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association to write and instruct the curriculum for the Fire and Life safety Educator and Community Risk Reduction section of the Fire Officer I and Chief Fire Officer programs.
