Marion Garrard Barnwell is professor emerita of English at Delta State University. She is editor of A Place Called Mississippi: Collected Narratives ; coauthor of Touring Literary Mississippi ; and coeditor of Fannye Cook: Mississippi's Pioneering Conservationist , all published by University Press of Mississippi.
