Marie Besse

Marie Besse is Professor of Prehistoric Archaeology at the University of Geneva and is Director of the Laboratory of Prehistoric Archaeology and Anthropology at the same university. Her research focuses on the European Neolithic, and more specifically on the Bell Beaker phenomenon. She has conducted excavations on settlement sites, such as that of the Petit- Chasseur in Sion (Valais, Switzerland) as well as ritual sites like the Eremita cave (Piedmont, Vercelli, Italy).
