From her perch on a hill in North Central Washington State, Marian Adams muses and fuses thoughts from contemporary life and from her personal experiences, into delightful verses which command attention through a variety of forms, punctuated with rhythm and rhyme. After reading her first book, Life, Love, Faith, Fun In Poetry, one reader, a neighborhood acquaintance, commented that she felt that she knew Marian much better after reading the book. This implies that to know the author, read the author's books. Certainly there are snippets in an author's writings which give the reader insight into the personality, beliefs and values of the one who wrote them. It is hoped that after reading another book by Marian Adams, "Fusing Musing with Rhythm and Rhyme", readers will feel even better acquainted. Music has always played a dominant role in her life: learning, teaching, and directing. She currently directs a hand bell choir in a local church. Over the years, a variety of other specialties competed for attention: marriage, growing apples and hay along a beautiful stretch of the Okanogan River, a daughter who still lives near the home place, and later, working with sub-contractors on a new home in a nearby small town. In fact, she was one of the sub-contractors, laying tile inside and flagstone outside. You will find a poem about that in her second book. "Life Is a Great Adventure" is another poem which speaks of Marian's optimistic views. Want to know more about Marian Adams? Read the words she writes. See less
