Margaret L. Andersen Rosenfeld is the Edward F. and Elizabeth Goodman Rosenberg Professor of Sociology at the University of Delaware, where she also holds faculty appointments in Women's Studies and Black American Studies. Margaret L. She is the author of numerous academic books and articles, including, among others, Thinking about Women, Sociology: The Essentials, and Race, Class and Gender. She is the daughter-in-law of Stanley Z. Rosenfeld, married to his oldest son, Richard Morris Rosenfeld. Dr. Andersen is nationally known for her scholarship on gender and racial inequality. She was the 2006 recipient of the American Sociological Association's Jessie Bernard Award, given to someone whose work has expanded the horizons of sociology to include the study of women.
