His state doctorate in climatology was published in 1983 in two volumes entitled The Climate of Tropical Africa, with sponsorship of CNRS, French Ministry of Cooperation and Development, and World Meteorological Organisation. The author of 100 papers in international refereed journals, he is a member of the American Geophysical Union, American Meteorological Society, and International Programme of Geological Correlation (Palaeoclimatology).
