Lilit Zekulin Thwaites is an award-winning Australian literary translator of novels, short stories, poetry and essays. She is the English translator of renowned Spanish writer, Rosa Montero, and her bestselling translation of Antonio Iturbe's The Librarian of Auschwitz (2017) won a prestigious Sydney Taylor award for teen readers. In 2014, she was awarded an OMI Translation residency in the US. She was the inaugural winner of the AAWP-Ubud Writers & Readers Festival Translators' Prize 2020 and holds Spain's Order of Civil Merit for her promotion of Spanish literatures and cultures in Australia.
