Ljiljana Fruk

Ljiljana Fruk is a Reader in BioNano Engineering in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Cambridge. She has taught bionanotechnology in Germany and the UK, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Ljiljana Fruk is a Reader in BioNano Engineering in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Cambridge. She has taught bionanotechnology in Germany and the UK, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Her group works on the design of enzyme-like catalysts, hybrid biopolymers for applications in sensing and optoelectronics, as well as drug nanocarriers for senescent cells and hard-to-treat cancers. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and Council member of the Cambridge Philosophical Society, Dr Fruk is also a science populariser and co-editor of the book Molecular Aesthetics (with Peter Weibel, 2013).
