Lisandra Estevez is Associate Professor of Art History in the Department of Art and Visual Studies at Winston-Salem State University, USA. She earned a PhD in Art History from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Her areas of research include Spanish and Latin American art, transatlantic cultural exchanges in early modern art history, the African presence in early modern Iberia and Latin America, the history of printmaking, and the history of collecting. She has published articles, essays, and book reviews in the Sixteenth Century Journal, Renaissance Quarterly, Notes on Early Modern Art and Paragone: Past and Present, as well as chapters in various edited volumes. She is also the author of Jusepe de Ribera and His Artistic Milieus in Early Modern Italy and Spain. See less
