Lindsay Terry has been a song historian for more than 40 years and has written for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Dallas Morning News, the Tampa Tribune, the Charlotte Observer and a number of other periodicals. Lindsay has spoken in numerous national conferences, several college campuses, and in countless churches, and he has conducted radio and television interviews. Lindsay has nearly 40 books and resource manuals published. Two of his books have been used as college texts. He has recorded interviews with nearly 200 famous songwriters. In addition to his writing, Lindsay has developed music ministries for some of the leading churches in America. He has also taught large Bible classes in those churches and for several years produced and managed a national radio ministry. He and his wife, Marilyn, have worked with children and teens as well as with college and young adult singles. A native of Decatur, Alabama, Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Master of Religious Education degree, and a Doctorate in Philosophy degree. He has two honorary degrees. Lindsay and his wife, Marilyn, an award winning artist with two art degrees, have two sons, Drs. Rex and Lance Terry, and one daughter, Mrs. Cliff (Amy) Player. The Terrys have eight grandchildren, and now live on Anastasia Island, near St. Augustine, FL. See less
