Linda Johnsen, M.S., is one of the most familiar writers in the American yoga community. Linda Johnsen, M.S., is one of the most familiar writers in the American yoga community. She has often written for Yoga Journal, and is a Contributing Editor and columnist for Yoga International magazine. Johnsen's books and many feature articles over all aspects of the yoga tradition, and some have been trasnlated into European languages. Over the years, the list of figures she has interviewed reads like a Who's Who of the yoga universe, and includes some of the greatest yoga teachers in the world. In addition, her essays have appeared in nearly a dozen anthologies, among them The Divine Mosaic, The Science of Breath and Yoga Abenteuer Meditation (in Germany). Johnsen has lectured throughout the United States on yoga-related topics, and has been featured in numerous radio programs and on cable television. From 1983 to 1986, she served as Administrator of the Program in Eastern Studies, a fully accredited Master's degree program which focuses on the many facets of the yoga tradition: Hatha yoga postures, stress reduction and breathing exercises, diet, physiology, ethics, philosophy, Sanskrit studies, meditation and research.
