Linda B. Rudolph is a professor of psychology on leave from Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, Tennessee. From 1995 to 1998, she served as commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Human Services, appointed by Governor Don Sundquist. During her tenure as commissioner, Linda led the state's welfare reform initiative and focused on the need to improve child care. In January 1999 she accepted the position of senior officer for policy and planning with the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. She earned undergraduate and master's degrees in psychology. She has taught psychology for more than 15 years and has concentrated in the counseling field for more than 10 years. She is a licensed professional counselor in the State of Tennessee and had served as both vice president and president for the stare licensing Board for Professional Counselors and Marital and Family Therapists. Linda holds membership in the American Counseling Association and in state and regional affiliations. She has published numerous articles in professional journals and co written a chapter on women's career development in a textbook on counseling with women.
