She has counseled individuals, couples, and families through ministry and in private practice. She won the 2008 Christian Choice Book Award for her book entitled The Judas Personality: Dealing with Antisocial Personality Disorder and Its Victims from a Christian Perspective, detailing Antisocial Personality Disorder from both a psychological and theological perspective. She wrote a sequel to that, The Judas Personality: A Primer for Victims in 2020.
