Leopold Labedz

Leopold Labedz, who has been editor of Survey since its inception thirty years ago, participated in the revolutionary develop-ments of Poland in 1979-80 from the London center of Solidarity. He is an inde-pendent scholar in the best sense of that word--to cite Brzezinski: -He has the abil-ity to work in many languages and with a wide knowledge of history, political sci-ence, sociology, and other social sciences.-
