Laura Lawson
Laura Lawson is professor and chair in the Department of Landscape Architecture at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Her research and teaching revolves around community gardens, underutilized parks being revived by residents, and other types of neighborhood activism to improve the local landscape. Lawson was an active participant in the University of Illinois's East St. Louis Action Research Project from 2001 to 2010, serving as director from 2008 to 2010.
