Laura Gilbert was raised in Denton, Texas and graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She taught four years in Arlington, Texas, then resigned to be a full time wife, mother and volunteer. As an active mother of three sons, Laura enjoyed attending their games and events, plus school volunteering in numerous PTA positions, Booster Clubs, community and church ministries. Laura Gilbert was raised in Denton, Texas and graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She taught four years in Arlington, Texas, then resigned to be a full time wife, mother and volunteer. As an active mother of three sons, Laura enjoyed attending their games and events, plus school volunteering in numerous PTA positions, Booster Clubs, community and church ministries. Active church involvement provided a platform and fueled a passion for serving others in various leadership roles. Laura cherishes the time spent with her family which includes attending sporting events, traveling, reading, and leisure visiting around the mealtime table. The recent watershed moment of her life was her middle son's cancer diagnosis and subsequent battle. This watershed event prompted the writing of her family's journey. See less
