Kevin Owens, aka Kevin Ray Owens, started his musical career at the tender age of five--first performing in front of his kindergarten class in 1960. From that day forward, Kevin knew what he wanted to do. He auditioned and won several parts with the Theatre East Children's Theatrical Touring Company. Kevin Owens, aka Kevin Ray Owens, started his musical career at the tender age of five--first performing in front of his kindergarten class in 1960. From that day forward, Kevin knew what he wanted to do. He auditioned and won several parts with the Theatre East Children's Theatrical Touring Company. From there, Kevin found himself involved in a host of musicals throughout New York City. Kevin attended the High School of Performing Arts in New York City where he majored in drama and dance. After a successful career in music, Luther Vandross asked Kevin to join his entourage and Kevin has been with Luther Vandross and Ray, Goodman, and Brown for the last two decades. Over the years, Kevin gained experience in the industry as a producer, performer, and businessperson. He has performed with some of the industry's most popular artists including Melissa Manchester, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, James Ingram, Regina Belle, Lou Rawls, Patti Labelle, Nona Hendrix, and many others.
