KENNETH R. HOWEY is Research Professor in the College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services at the University of Cincinnati. He was also Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, where he coordinated the Teacher in Residence Program. He was the principal investigator for the longest running study of teacher education in the United States. He directed the national reform consortium, the Urban Network to Improve Teacher Education (UNITE). He is the author of several books and articles on teacher education. Dr. Howey is the recipient of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education's highest award for distinguished contributions to teacher education thoughout a career. See less
