Dr. Schillo received a B.S. degree in Animal Science from Cornell University in 1975. He pursued graduate education in reproductive physiology and earned an M.S. degree in Animal Science from Purdue University in 1977, a PhD degree in Endocrinology and Reproductive Physiology from the University of Wisconsin in 1981 and completed postdoctoral training in neuroendocrinology at the University of Illinois in 1984. For the past 23 years Dr. Schillo has directed a research program dealing with hormonal control of reproduction in cattle and sheep. He has taught reproductive physiology for the past 14 years and now devotes most of his time to teaching. Dr. Schillo is the author of over 50 journal articles and book chapters on topics ranging from reproductive endocrinology to agricultural ethics. He has been invited to speak at numerous conferences and institutions about his research, views on agricultural education and ethical issues in animal science. See less
