Kathy started her career as an author/illustrator when she retired from being a teacher/counselor in southeastern Ohio. She doesn't know which she enjoys more, writing stories or creating illustrations. Learning to paint raccoons for this book was a fun challenge. Kathy enjoys visiting classrooms where she shares about being an author.
