Josephine Jacobsen
Jacobsen devoted her life to literature. When she died at 94, she left behind a legacy of a dozen books and many honors, including position as Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress, the 1988 Lenore Marshall Award, the 1993 Shelley Memorial Award, and the 1997 Poetry Society of America's Robert Frost Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Poetry.
