Joseph A. Davis is an American fantasy author living and working in Sweden, where his books have been highly praised and widely recommended by literary critics, libraries, schools and readers of all ages. He is known for his gripping stories set in unique and imaginative worlds, as well as for exploring themes such as compassion and intercultural communication in ways that are accessible to young readers. In 2020-2021, Davis' Swedish fantasy novel Markus av Trolyrien (2016) was featured as part of World Book Week, and he participated in digital lectures on writing that were viewed in classrooms around the country. His more recent work Adventures in Thousandworld: The Darkenstar (Swedish release 2020) has also been a special favourite in Swedish schools, where it is widely used as a teaching resource for students ages 10-13.
