John Wellham

Wellham was educated in Scotland. He was commissioned in the RAF in 1936, and transferred to the Fleet Air Arm in 1939. He served in the China Fleet, in the Mediterranean, the Western Desert, the Battle of the Atlantic and the East Indies. After retiring from the Active List in 1953, he worked as a Finance and Investment Consultant for 20 years.
