John H. Culver is Professor of Political Science at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA. Professor Culver has taught at state colleges in Missouri and Colorado as well. Professor Culver is the co-author of POWER AND POLITICS IN CALIFORNIA (1988), THE POLITICS OF STATE COURTS (1992), and POLITICS AND PUBLIC POLICIES IN CALIFORNIA (1997). He has also published numerous articles and book chapters on capital punishment, judicial behavior, and California politics.
