John East
Rev. John East, an Anglican priest, was first rector at Croscombe, Somerset and then at St. Michael's, Bath until his death in 1856. Under his leadership, St. Michael's built a school and became an independent parish. He wrote several books that highlighted Christian lessons, hymns and poetry.
