John Dellinger taught in the public school systems of Riverside, California; Boulder, Colorado; Steamboat Springs, Colorado; and Denver, Colorado. After retiring from the Denver Public Schools, he continued to teach as a substitute in Denver and neighboring Jefferson County. The Substitute Teaching Survival Guide, Grades 6-12: Emergency Lesson Plans and Essential Advice was published in 2005. The successful publication of that book led to the publishing of this book: The Substitute Teaching Survival Guide, Grades K-5: Emergency Lesson Plans and Essential Advice. He holds degrees from two universities: a B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado and an M.A. from the University of Colorado. See less
