John Brueggemann is Professor of Sociology at Skidmore College in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work.He received a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from Earlham College (1987) and Masters (1990) and Doctoral (1994) degrees in sociology from Emory University. He has spent his career since then at Skidmore College as a teacher, scholar and administrator. During these 14 years he has taught and written about a range of topics including class, race, inequality, religion, morality, history, social theory and social change. His written work has appeared in academic journals such as "Social Problems, Work and Occupations, Social Science History, The Journal of Contemporary Ethnography, Critical Sociology, "and" Theology Today. "I also coauthored "Racial Competition and Class Solidarity," which was published by SUNY in 2006. See less
