John Balcom
John Balcom is a translator of Chinese literature, philosophy and children's books. His translations have won numerous grants and awards, including an NEA Translation fellowship and the Northern California Book Award. Dr Balcom is Professor Emeritus at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, California and a past president of the American Literary Translators Association.
