Joe Cassilly is the oldest of 12 children from Catholic parents. He served as a U.S. Army Ranger in Vietnam as part of F Co. 75th Rangers, 25th Inf. Div. He was injured in Vietnam and has used a wheelchair since then. He was awarded a Combat Infantry Badge and a Purple Heart. For more than 41 years, he represented the victims of crime.
