Award winning author, JoAnn Meaker was born in Brooklyn, raised on Long Island and spent almost 30 years upstate New York before relocating to Richmond Virginia where she currently resides with her husband. During her years as lead teacher, she was responsible for writing curriculum, and educational manuals. For her town's bicentennial celebration, Meaker wrote Images of America: Ontario.
