Jim Christ has taught writing, literature and history for over twenty years in both public and private schools. Jim Christ has taught writing, literature and history for over twenty years in both public and private schools. He has served as a secondary school and district-level administrator in both Phoenix and Tucson. He also served consecutive terms on Arizona's largest school district and is credited with initiating the Tucson district's controversial Mexican-American Studies program. He holds a B.A. in English Literature and Writing as well as Master's degrees in English and Educational Administration. One of four siblings from a working-class family, he has extensive experience as a cabinetmaker. Christ grew up in Tucson, where he still resides with his wife of forty-two years. His published work includes two non-fiction books as well as educational journal articles. The Day Hal Quit is his first novel. See less
