Jessica Meats is a graduate of the University of York, where she was part of the university writing group and a regular contributor to a creative arts magazine. She has been a fan of science fiction and fantasy since childhood and one of her first stories, at aged six, involved slaying a dragon and being made to tidy up the mess.
