(Dan) Soucy was born in Lewiston, Maine, in the mid-1950s. Moving to the county as a child, he grew up in the Presque Isle area and came to love the outdoor life. After a nearly thirty-year absence from writing, he returned with two chapbooks, The Book of Shadows and The Light at the End of the Tunnel.
