Jean Andrews was born in the West of Ireland and has spent her adult life in the UK as a lecturer in Hispanic Studies, currently at the University of Nottingham. She has published five collections of poetry and two books of translated poetry by Hispanic authors. Her work is inflected both by her Irish upbringing and her reading and teaching of poetry in the Romance languages.
