Janice Mirikitani

Award-winning poet, dancer, activist, and educator, Janice Mirikitani was San Francisco's second poet laureate and is the founding president of the Glide Foundation. Her collections of poetry are Awake in the Rive r (1978), Shedding Silence (1987), We, the Dangerous: New and Selected Poems (1995), Love Works (2001), and Out of the Dust: New and Selected Poems (2014).
