James Welling (born in Hartford, Connecticut, 1951) has held solo exhibitions at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Ohio; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Fotomuseum Winterthur, Switzerland; Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels; and Minneapolis Institute of Art; among others.
