James R Peters was born and educated in Zimbabwe. He served as a district commissioner, and also an officer charged with leading counter terrorism operations during the Rhodesian/Zimbabwean terrorist war. His experiences with the African people and terrorism led him to write 'Dawn of Deliverance' which recounted a year of his life during the height of the terrorist war.
