Jim Gindlesperger is a retired safety manager from Carnegie Mellon University, where he served as a consultant on a project between Google, NASA, National Geographic and Carnegie Mellon to map and photograph Civil War sites using high-resolution robotic cameras with 360-degree capability. He has coauthored three books with his wife, Suzanne, and five additional books on his own. He sits on the advisory committee for the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, and his book Bullets and Bandages won the Bachelder-Coddington Literary Award as the best book on the Gettysburg Campaign for 2020.
