James Butcher
James Butcher was born in Bergoo, West Virginia in 1933. At age 17 he joined the Army and served during the Korean War, fighting in the first battle of Pork Chop Hill. After military service he went on to earn a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and served as a professor and later Director of the clinical psychology program at the University of Minnesota. He is currently Professor Emeritus there and has published 58 books and more than 250 articles in the field.
