Jacques Jouanna is Member of the Institut de France (Acad�mie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres) and Professor Emeritus of Greek at the Universit� de Paris-Sorbonne, where he taught from 1981 and where he founded and directed the CNRS Research Group 'M�decine grecque'.
